ABOUT

Director/screenwriter, Rob Stefaniuk wrote his first screenplay The Size of Watermelons, an independent feature starring Paul Rudd, at the age of 23. He made his directorial debut with the short film, Waiting for the Man (Official Selection Sundance 2005). His feature films include the award winning Phil the Alien for which he was named winner of the Don Haig Encouragement Award for promising new filmmaker, and the rock and roll vampire film Suck, starring Jessica Pare, Iggy Pop, Malcolm McDowell, Alice Cooper, Moby, and Dave Foley (Audience Award Whistler ). Both films debuted at TIFF and have screened at festivals all over the world. For television, Rob directed episodes of CBC’s What it’s Like Being Alone, YTV’s The Stanley Dynamic, and the episode “Sexual Ceiling” for CTV’s Spun Out. On the first season of Spun Out he worked as a story editor. For the web, Rob directed 10 episodes of Anxietyville, ten episodes of the debut season of CBC’s My 90-Year-Old Roommate, and 13 episodes of Epic Studios staring Epic Rap Battles of History’s Epic Lloyd. He is currently shooting the interview series Epitaph for ZDF Arte, writing features and developing series.
